Perform routine clerical and administrative functions such as answering phones, drafting correspondence, scheduling appointments, organizing and maintaining paper and electronic files, and providing strong customer service skills. The School of Dentistry Administrative Assistant II responsibilities encompass a wide variety of tasks including formatting, editing, and publishing course materials, assisting in the transition to online testing processes, scheduling of department meetings, minute-taking, arranging for Chair and faculty travel, assisting with departmental events, creating and submitting TERs, ordering supplies, assisting with Mock Boards, coordinating faculty’s Faculty Activity Reports and Provost Database Management submissions, and serving as a greeter/receptionist.  Administrative Assistants are also responsible for the managing departmental Search processes.   

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required;
Associate's Degree preferred;
6 years' administrative and/or office management experience;

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: 
Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures/processes;
Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written);
Customer service focus including the ability to assess inquiries and provide appropriate information or resolution using judgment and available resources, and proven ability to maintain confidentiality;
Ability to coordinate and prioritize work with multiple and conflicting demands in a deadline-oriented environment;
Ability to be collaborative and work in a team environment;
Demonstrate Professionalism;
