Clinical Research Coordinator

Creighton University is seeking to hire a Clinical Research Coordinator II in the School of Medicine. This position is full time, located at Bergan Mercy (7500 Mercy Rd). 

Key Responsibilities

• This role is responsible for clinical projects to support the Creighton Department of Research throughout Bergan Mercy, Immanuel, and Lakeside medical systems. Manages course of research volunteers within clinical, inpatient, surgical, and procedural settings according to research protocol
• Meets with study patients. Follows study protocol performing duties/testing/data collection. Conducts study required tests and procedures. (Test may include: bone density scans, EKG's, mental and physical assessments, blood draws, vitals, diary instruction and review, etc.)
• Records data into patient research case report forms (CRF's) to include recording test results and reacting appropriately to abnormal results. Maintains accurate CRF's and source documents
• Schedules appointments, obtains medical records, and maintains inventory and disbursements
• Reports regulatory and Institutional Review Board issues appropriately (i.e. report adverse events and other regulatory data)

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in related field of Science preferred
4 + years clinical experience, preferably in a research setting

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Strong work ethic, excellent written and communication skills;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel; PowerPoint and Outlook;
• Knowledge of FDA regulatory requirements is required;
• Knowledge of the principles of research design;
• Strong customer service skills including the ability to assess inquiries and provide appropriate information using judgment and available resources, and proven ability to maintain confidentiality;
• Ability to coordinate and prioritize work with multiple and conflicting demands in a deadline-oriented environment;
• Demonstrate ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team;
• Demonstrate commitment to working with diverse populations
