TRiO Coordinator

Creighton University is seeking to hire a Coordinator for the TRiO program in Student Success. 

Advises program participants (high school students) concerning academic performance, college preparation and college success, financial management, and career counseling. Identifies eligible program participants; reports and document demographics of target schools, program enrollment, students contacts, matriculation, and other program activities; assist in coordination and supervision of applicable summer residential and academic year components. Assists with the development and delivery of academic, career, and post-secondary workshops for enrolled participants.  This full-time role will work on campus.  Will work flexible hours, including late nights, weekends, and travel.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and evaluate academic services including workshops, assessments, and tutorial sessions.  (Including summer programming and Saturday morning classes, if applicable).
• Develop, implement, and evaluate appropriate recruitment/retention activities.
• Completes accurate and timely documentation of services and other reporting.
• Administrative skills; filing, data entry

Qualifications

• Bachelors’ Degree required.
• Experience with first-generation and or low-income students.
• 3 years of experience; prior advising, university and/or student counseling experience preferred.

Knowledge and Skills

• Ability to work with diverse populations and high school students.
• Experience in academic environment.
• Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services and methods for teaching and instruction for individuals and groups.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  Skilled at communicating in writing, strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities.
