Coordinates and provides advanced administrative support of a specific program or program(s).  Plans and coordinates the day-to-day fiscal, administrative, and operational activities of a specific program or program(s).  The program(s), may be scientific, research, educational, or service oriented. Duties typically include grant planning and administration, budget management and control, program implementation and administration, internal and external operational/administrative liaison, program marketing, and reporting.


Specifically, this position provides support for the Masters in Medical Sciences program. This position is very involved in the didactic portion of the program along with student support. Ideal candidate will have higher education administrative and student support experience (preferred). Depending upon qualification final candidate will be offered either a senior Program Coordinator or a Program Coordinator position.


This position will work Monday to Friday; 8am-4:30pm.



Qualifications for a Senior Program Coordinator:

Associate's Degree or equivalent experience required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred;
6 years' administrative and/or office management experience;

Intermediate to advanced proficiency skills in MS Office Suite to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook


Qualifications for a Program Coordinator: 

High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred;
4 years' administrative and/or office management experience;
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel; PowerPoint and Outlook
 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities for both roles:

Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments;

Management experience is a plus;

Ability to coordinate and organize meetings and/or special events;

Strong interpersonal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community;

Ability to lead and train staff and/or students;

Knowledge of finance, accounting, and budgeting procedures;

Ability to gather and analyze statistical data and generate reports;

Ability to function effectively as a team member, while exercising independent and critical judgment;

Ability to coordinate and prioritize work with multiple and conflicting demands in a deadline-oriented environment

Hearing: 50 – 74%

Standing/Climbing/Mobility: 50-74%

Lifting/Pulling/Pushing: 0 – 24 % (pound: 15 lbs.)

Fingering/Grasping/Feeling: 75 – 100%

Exposure to Blood Borne pathogens: No
