Job Summary

Our Finance Division professionals are critical to the university’s success. The Senior Financial Analyst for Decision Support will be a key player in ensuring Creighton University efficiently utilizes its resources and maximizes its enrollment potential through data-driven decision-making. This will be primarily accomplished through managing key components of pricing analysis, capital/lease/technology projects, and evaluating new program proposals. The Senior Financial Analyst is expected to play a significant role in driving improved efficiency and growth through delivering insightful analysis, management reporting and partnering effectively with schools/colleges/departments.

Essential Job Functions:

• Develop models based upon our pricing strategies designed to optimize revenue, market share, and brand positioning.

• Developing optimal pricing structures in target markets.

• Develop models to understand the return on investments for projects related to capital purchases, software implementations, process improvement, etc.

• Perform revenue projections and postmortem analysis for previously completed recommendations.

• Work closely with business counterparts to understand the cost structure necessary to deliver program offerings to ensure achievement of the targeted margins.

• Ability to work across levels, functions and departments to support staff in obtaining needed information from internal and external customers who are not in your direct reporting structure and ensure their information is being accurately reported.

• Understand back office processes and details in order to assess incremental cost associated with adding programs and /or students.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 4+ years in pricing deals and ROI analysis
  • A high degree of attention to detail and creativity are expected.
  • Good understanding and demonstrated proficiency of financial analysis models and advances in Excel modeling.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task under limited supervision
  • Strong focus on customer service and creating positive interactions with internal and external clients. Develop and maintain a good working relationship across all levels in the organization.
