Creighton University is looking for a talented Security engineer who will work on improving our capabilities of detecting, preventing and predicting security threats. This role will require you to be a specialist in the Infosec domain with hands-on experience in vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, SEIM technologies, and log management tools. The Security Engineer will work with technical staff, IT management and key personnel from other departments to identify, develop, implement and support cost-effective and functional data and network security solutions.



BS or BA degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and/or equivalent training or work experience required.

5 years of Information Technology experience required, preferably at least 3 years of Information Security experience.

In-depth knowledge of computing systems, data network communications, and network architecture required.

Thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols.
