This individual will serve as Internship Coordinator for undergraduate students and teach courses to enhance career preparation and professionalism (attitude, goal setting, and life management skills; resume and personal statement; interview techniques; professional ethics; job search skills, etc.). Other duties include advising undergraduate students; participating in university, college, and department committee service; and supporting student recruitment and retention initiatives. Interested candidates should familiarize themselves with our programs, department, university and mission.
 

Internship Responsibilities:
• Assist majors to secure a 100-hr internship appropriate to their career objectives
• Develop/revise internship policies and procedures
• Identify, develop, and monitor current internship sites
• Maintain database administration

Qualifications:
Earned master’s or doctorate degree in exercise science or related field from an accredited college or university by time of appointment; strong communication and interpersonal skills; minimum of 2 years experience in a collegiate or professional environment directing internships and/or career counseling. Teaching experience at the university level is preferred.

Nine-month non-tenure-track appointment beginning August 2021. Summer school employment may be available dependent upon department needs.

Qualifications:
