Creighton University's Department of Cultural and Social Studies invites applications for a non-tenure-track resident assistant professor position in criminal justice. This is a one-year position, which may be renewed for up to 3 years. The position begins in the Fall of 2018. Candidates should be comfortable with teaching criminal justice courses required for the Sociology - Criminal Justice Policy Track major, but also taken as electives by students outside the major. The Resident Assistant Professor will teach a 4-4 course load or equivalent beginning in August 2018. Qualifications:
A Doctorate or Master's degree from an accredited college or university;
2-4 years prior teaching experience

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Ability to foster student learning, development, and decision making in support of their goals, success, wellness, and needs;
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop rapport quickly and effectively with a diversity of populations;
Empathy and compassion for the experiences of others;
Ability to provide evidence of excellent university-level teaching and/or significant publications
