The Department of Psychological Science within the College of Arts and Sciences at Creighton University invites applications for a one-year non-tenure track position as a full-time resident assistant professor of Psychological Science beginning in fall 2018. Preference will be given to candidates who currently hold a Ph.D. in Psychological Science or a related field. We anticipate conducting a nationwide search to fill a tenure-track position for the following year. The teaching load is 4 courses per semester (8 total) and may include courses in Physiological Psychology, Cognitive Neuroscience, Sensation and Perception, Learning, Research Methods and Statistics, Introductory Psychology or other similar courses. The College seeks an outstanding teacher who will embrace our Jesuit, Catholic values; provide academic advising for students; and provide service to the College, University, and community. The Department of Psychological Science has 11 full-time faculty members and many of our department members work within the Neuroscience program, as well.

Qualifications:
A Doctorate or Master's degree from an accredited college or university;
2-4 years prior teaching experience

Ability to foster student learning, development, and decision making in support of their goals, success, wellness, and needs;
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop rapport quickly and effectively with a diversity of populations;
Empathy and compassion for the experiences of others;
Ability to provide evidence of excellent university-level teaching and/or significant publications
