This role manages clinical course of research volunteers according to research protocol. Assesses physical health and administers treatments throughout study.

Specifically, this role will support the Hereditary Cancer Center (HCC) and Biorepository general research activity. This person will independently gather research information for clinical projects; manages research volunteers according to research protocol; selects and observes subjects and assists with data analysis. Ideal candidate utilizes discretion, creativity and latitude for decision making within limitations established by research project protocols.

HCC and Biorepository specific research activity will include reviews and updates research participant consent forms in order to remain compliant with current research regulations; facilitates the participant consent audit currently in process; facilitates IRB (Institutional Review Board) submissions and resubmissions; recruits new active study participants; coordinates biorepository sample acquisitions; facilitates the documentation linkage between the existing participant library and biorepository sample inventory; facilitates ongoing contact with legacy research participants to the extent appropriate with IRB compliance standards.

This position is 100% grant funded.

Position will work Monday to Friday; normal business hours; please note depending upon research needs position may require evening, weekend, and holiday work.

Qualifications:
Associates' Degree in Nursing;
2-4 years clinical experience preferably in a research setting;
Well versed in HIPAA compliance and FDA regulations;
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel; PowerPoint and Outlook;
State of Nebraska RN License

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Strong work ethic, excellent written and communication skills, and the ability to work independently;
Ability to maintain confidentiality and strong understanding of HIPPA compliance;
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays depending upon research needs;
Ability to coordinate and prioritize work with multiple and conflicting demands in a deadline-oriented environment;
Ability to be Detail oriented;
Ability to function effectively as a team member, while exercising independent and critical judgement;
Mission/Service and Results oriented;
Knowledge of specialized medical/scientific terminology;
Knowledge of medication and proper dosages;
Ability to analyze and interpret statistical data;
Familiarity with clinical resources and laboratory facilities

Required Licenses/Certifications:
State of Nebraska RN License
Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) Preferred
