The Research Laboratory Supervisor will support our Hereditary Cancer Center.  This role organizes and directs the daily activities of the laboratory including supervising personnel, quality assurance, and quality control procedures. Implements safety plans and serves as a liaison to other departments within the university.  Ideal candidate would have sequencing DNA experience.  Website: https://medschool.creighton.edu/centers/hcc/

This position is 100% grant funded.

This position will work Monday to Friday; 8am-4:30pm; depending upon research needs position may require evening, weekend, and holiday work.    
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in related field of Science required;
Master's degree in related field of Science preferred;
4-6 year's research lab experience;sequencing DNA experience preferred;
Supervisory experience required

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Experience in writing manuscripts, etc;
Analytical skills required;
Ability to supervise and develop professional staff;
Strong ability to interpret data and to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues;
Strong work ethic, excellent written and communication skills, and the ability to work independently;
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel; PowerPoint and Outlook;
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays depending upon research needs
