Research Analyst/Statistician-Clinical Research (RW)
Qualifications:
1. Master’s degree in biostatistics, epidemiology, public health, quantitative psychology/sociology, or another quantitative-related field.
2. Two years of relevant data analysis or database development/maintenance experience, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable skills and knowledge are acquired.
3. Experience with computer programming and statistical software (e.g., SAS, R, SPSS).
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Experience with large, national-level databases (e.g., NIS, UNOS, NTDB) preferred.
2. Experience estimating and interpreting the generalized linear mixed model (GLMMs).
3. Experience with healthcare-related data.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Experience managing prospectively collected databases;
Excellent analytical skills in quantitative methods;
Strong desire to learn and desire to increase one’s own methodological skills;
Excellent oral and written communication skills;
Ability to collaborate with individuals/groups inside and outside the SOM (School of Medicine);
Ability to troubleshoot software problems;
Knowledge of computer programming, graphic production and database management;
Knowledge of educational assessment and/or health care fields desirable.
