Under the supervision of the Associate Dean for Diversity and Inclusion within the School of Medicine, the Postdoctoral Research Fellow assists in the evaluation and research on data relevant to the Office of Diversity and Inclusion and its programs. The candidate will assist in the development of research programs on diversity and workforce matters in academic medicine and health care.  Additional responsibilities will include developing tracking and analysis methods to assess the success of the School’s programs to increase diversity among the learners, faculty, and staff of the School and assisting in the development/sustainment of pipeline programs to increase the diversity of the medical profession. Duties assigned to this title will require an in depth knowledge of a specialized field, process, or discipline and may involve organizing and implementing complex research plans, the development of methods of research, testing and data collection, analysis and evaluation, and writing reports containing descriptive, analytical and evaluative content. The duties will require the exercise of independent discretion and judgment in carrying out research activities within the predetermined research scope and methodology.




PhD or equivalent terminal degree in quantitative/experimental psychology, biostatistics, or related field
Experience in research and evaluation design and implementation; and, the analysis of comprehensive quantitative data, including the use of industry standard software
Ability to use data to generate written reports and briefings on findings that offer a comprehensive view of the School’s diversity programs (e.g., pipelines, medical student groups, community engagement, etc.)
Knowledge and experience in grant writing
