A postdoctoral scholar "postdoc" is an individual holding a doctoral degree who is engaged in a temporary and defined period, typically less than 5 years, of mentored research and/or advanced scholarly training for the purpose of acquiring the professional skills needed to pursue a career path of his/her choosing. Performs research under the supervision and mentorship of a more senior researcher (Primary Investigator), often called the Postdoctoral Advisor.

This role will provide senior-level technical lab support by designing and performing experiments and research related tasks. Evaluates experiment results using complex statistical and multivariate analysis. Prepares data for publication and assists in writing grant proposals.

Individuals with experience in molecular biology, mouse genetics, epigenetics or single cell RNA sequence are preferable. Accomplishment in systems other than hearing is a plus. Please note, position is Grant Funded.

The schedule for this role is Monday-Friday; 8am-4:30pm; depending upon research needs position may require evening, weekend, and holiday work.


Doctorate Degree;

1-3 years' experience


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Strong ability to interpret data and to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues;

Strong work ethic, excellent written and communication skills, and the ability to work independently;

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel; PowerPoint and Outlook;

Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays depending upon research needs
