Laboratory course  support for Biology Department. Making solutions and maintaining cultures, setting up and tearing down student lab stations throughout the week, maintaining lab equipment, taking care of animals (primarily invertebrates) and plants, helping faculty with instruction in the teaching labs and with the training and supervision of the teaching assistants. Molecular biology experience is strongly preferred.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in related field
4 years' experience or Master's degree preferred

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Thorough knowledge of laboratory safety and infection control procedures and practices including standard precautions and hazardous chemical handling. Considerable knowledge of laboratory equipment, instrumentation and terminology.
Ability to develop and refine procedures. Ability to maintain effective reporting procedures and control workflow.
Ability to make accurate observations and written reports of test results. 

Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team with faculty and student teaching assistants.
Ability to aid in instruction of undergraduate students on laboratory activities.

Molecular biology experience is strongly preferred.
