Designs lab experiments by researching and consulting with faculty regarding software and instrument practices. Designs experiments and instructs students in the lab. Researches methods, identifies techniques and instrument use and documents details of experiment, equipment and methods. Troubleshoots equipment and performs required maintenance on equipment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in chemistry or physics required.
Demonstrated background in Chemistry.
5 years' related experience.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Experience with optical specromoters (UV-Vis, IR, florescence, etc.), chromatography instructions (GC,GC/MS, HPLC), NMR and ESR, laser-equipped instrumentation
Computer operation systems including Unix, Windows, Mac for interface with laboratory instruments and C/C++ programming
Demonstrated experience with microsoft office products (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint).
Excellent verbal and written skills required
Ability to multi-task
High attention to detail
