Part-Time Head Premier Club – Golf Coach
Reporting to the Vice Provost for Enrollment Management, the Premier Sports Club Coach will be responsible for the oversight of the club sport assigned. Main responsibilities include recruiting, securing a complete club roster, fundraising, and budget management. Student development and coaching of the sport required. Creates an atmosphere of competition within the Ignatian tradition in which the dignity of the person is fostered. Being competitive with a goal orientation is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Recruit and secure a full team roster as determined appropriate by Enrollment Management. Participate in Enrollment Management events and activities such as CU Sundays, Admitted Student Days, campus visits, etc.
- Oversee club administration, including but limited to communicating with regional/national organizations; arranging club practices, competitions, and travel, budgeting, fundraising, and securing sponsorships.
- Coach club members on site: plan and lead practices; create strategies; provide individual and team feedback; mentor students in good sportsmanship; travel with team.
- Ensure safety of club members: follow university policies and procedures; partner with Student Health Education and Compliance.
- Attend meetings and collaborate with campus groups and organizations as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
- Preferred coaching or playing experience.
- Understanding of recruitment and budgeting practices.
- CPR, First Aid, AED instructor certification required (or willingness to obtain within first 60 days of employment)
- Experience with programs outlined in position summary.
- Experience with the National Intramural and Recreational Sports Association preferred.
