Financial Aid Counselor
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in related area required.
3-5 years of financial aid experience required.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Knowledge of all aspects of scholarship/financial aid and billing programs, policies, procedures, and practices
Knowledge of federal, state, university, and private assistance programs and payment options
Interpersonal/human relations/communication/listening skills
Organizational/planning skills
Writing and editing skills
Counseling and financial aid eligibility assessment skills
Ability to adapt to work environment changes and relate to diverse populations
Ability to assess situations, prioritize needs and tasks, and assist, counsel, and act accordingly
Ability to interpret oral and written instructions
Ability to establish and maintain effective, team-oriented working relationships
Ability to operate a personal computer and various software programs
