Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required in related medical, public safety, education, or administrative field of study. Master’s degree preferred. Successful applicants will be Nationally Registered paramedics, eligible for Nebraska paramedic licensure. Three years of patient care experience in an emergency or critical care environment, preferably including field experience in the delivery of out-of-hospital emergency care. Furthermore, three years of proven experience as an educator of health or medical related content, preferably involving EMS laboratory and simulation sessions. Knowledge about the principles of adult education and of the emergency medical services profession is essential. Currently recognized as or eligible for certification as an EMS Instructor required. Strong organizational skills, attentive to details, effective communication and documentation skills, teamwork, leadership, and knowledge of medical/educational/computer skills are necessary. Interest in collaborative and interprofessional pedagogy is essential. Current provider and instructor certifications in BCLS, ACLS, PALS, PEPP, AMLS, ITLS, and PHTLS preferred.
