Minimum qualifications:

  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a related field. Minimum of three (3) years of direct management experience in a related field..
  • Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree (or an equivalent combination of education and/or additional job-related experience) is preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience in higher education required.
  • Knowledge and experience in medical education required.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize projects.
  • Experience with various Microsoft office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.
 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of philosophies, approaches, processes and practices for delivering education and training in an academic healthcare environment; ability to implement, design, assess and improve health education and training models and ensure they align with organizational goals.
  • Knowledge of the principles and methodology of budget management and ability to utilize the tools, techniques and procedures needed to establish and monitor budgets.
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local accreditation and licensure related laws and regulations; ability to comply with these in academic healthcare settings.  Competent in resident student behavior management policies.
  • Knowledge of the day-to-day operations of academic medical training programs; ability to use this knowledge to ensure the academic health education training program performance is efficient and effective.
  • Broad knowledge of academic and resident/student policies for all academic training programs practices and applicable laws and regulations governing proper clinical practice; ability to demonstrate ethical behavior in diverse situations.
