We are looking for a forward thinking, creative, self-starter, performance orientated, and mission-driven Director of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI).  Reporting directly to the Vice President for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, the Director is a key contributor who has oversight of the external functions of the Division of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion including alumni, development, and partnerships with pathway programs for undergraduate and graduate student recruitment 

This individual will focus on overseeing the National Black Alumni Advisory Board and will have a role in cultivating external relationships with corporate partners and Creighton alumni.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Oversight of external functions of the Division of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion including alumni, development, and partnerships with pathway programs for undergraduate and graduate student recruitment. 

  • Recruit, promote and manage the National Black Alumni Advisory Board (NBAAB), as well as other future affinity groups that evolve.  

  • Serve as the point of contact and resource for local non-profits and organizations with an interest in developing partnerships with Creighton University that have a focus on increasing equity, diversity, and inclusion. 

  • Cultivating and securing resources from alumni, corporations and foundations i.e., corporate partnerships, philanthropic support, internships, job placement, student enrollment pathway development, etc.) to further support Creighton University’s equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives. 

 

Qualifications   

  • Bachelor’s' Degree required; Master’s degree preferred. 

  • Demonstrated success with fostering and sustaining diverse constituent networks. 

  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team while managing multiple projects.  

  • Appreciation and understanding of Creighton University's mission and the ability to effectively communicate the mission.  

  • 5+ years of related work experience.
