Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field is required.  

10 years of marketing and/or events experience.  

Minimum 5 years of experience managing team(s) focused on event planning. 

Strong track record of success managing contracts and relationships with external vendors.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, strong business acumen, interpersonal skills, ability to lead and integrate events with the overall university marketing plan. 

Ability to work with internal resources to troubleshoot logistics.

Fiscal and budget management experience.

Leadership skills to provide vision, motivation and guidance to team members.

Computer skills with ability to use Word, Excel; experience with CRM and event management software platforms is a plus. Strong track record of success managing contracts and relationships with external vendors

 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Excellent written/verbal communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills;

Strong collaborative/teamwork ability to motivate, and inspire staff at all levels of the organization;

Demonstrated experience with strategic and master planning;

Experience with budget planning, forecasting and fiscal management of an operating budgeting
Demonstrated ability to develop and implement complex plans coordinated with multiple constituencies.
Strong ability to manage, supervise, and develop professional staff;

Ability to influence change;

Results oriented;

Mission and Service oriented
