Digital Scholarship Librarian
Qualifications:
Minimum
- Master’s Degree in Library Science or equivalent from an ALA-accredited institution.
- Minimum two years’ experience in library services or related experience
- Experience or course work with digital scholarship topics.
- Knowledge of the use and application of digital scholarship technologies or methods, such as: web-development, digital posters, geospatial mapping, text-visualization, open access scholarship, or other areas of digital knowledge production and communication.
- Willingness to take risks, to develop a oneself into a new role and launch new services.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Desired
- Experience working in an academic library environment.
- Educational background in a humanities related discipline.
- Experience with methods, tools, services, best practices, and/or trends related to digital scholarship.
- Experience with the use and application of digital scholarship technologies or methods, such as: web-development, digital posters, geospatial mapping, text-visualization, open access scholarship, or other areas of digital knowledge production and communication.
- Experience planning and offering instructional services on topics related to digital scholarship.
- Demonstrated ability to balance multiple assignments and projects.
- Experience with grant and proposal writing.
Master’s degree in library and information science from an ALA-accredited program.
