Dental Assistant II - Oral Surgery
The Creighton Dental school is looking for a Dental Assistant II that possesses experience and a passion for the Oral Surgery and Acute Care areas. The Team is looking for a dedicated Dental Assistant who is excited about working in a fun fast-paced, environment. The ideal candidate will assist faculty and students in surgical procedures as well as operative procedures with adults in our clinical settings, is someone who is excited about using the most-up-to-date technology and is passionate about sharing and assisting! This 40 hour/week, twelve-month position is benefit eligible. Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Accredited Dental Assistant School Graduate Preferred Or equivalent related experience.

Radiology certificate preferred or equivalent related experience.

2-4 years' Dental Assistant experience.

Knowledge of Dental procedures and terminology.

Experience in Oral Surgery

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel and Outlook.
Skills and Abilities:
- Experience taking radiographs of patients using standard dental radiographic equipment.
- Knowledge and/or experience using NOMAD or portable x-ray unit preferred.
- Comprehensive understanding of dental instruments in all aspects of dentistry Endodontics, Orthodontics, Periodontics, Prosthodontics, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, Pediatric Dentist or Pedodontics, Dental Public Health (DPH)
- Provide outstanding customer service for the patient; excellent chair side manner.
- Maintain patient confidentiality through HIPAA compliance and understand OSHA guidelines
- Follow organizations safety policies and procedures
- Desire to learn and grow with our team
- Outstanding positive attitude and demeanor
- Strong interpersonal and relationship team building skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fun, fast pace, team environment
- Assist with other Creighton related clinic duties as requested such as working with One World initiatives, Labs, Screenings, etc.
