Co-Ed Cheerleading Coach
Creighton University, a Division I institution and part of the Big East Conference, is seeking a dynamic, experienced, and passionate Cheer Coach to lead its cheerleading program. The Cheer Coach is responsible for the overall direction, safety, and success of the cheerleading team, ensuring alignment with the university’s mission and values, while promoting school spirit at athletic events and in the campus community.
This position will report to the Director of Spirit Programs in the Athletics department. Creighton, located in Omaha, Nebraska, competes in NCAA Division I as a member of the BIG EAST Conference. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Attend and lead weekly team practices and attend home Creighton games, with travel during post-season.
- Choreograph sideline routines, chants, etc for team to perform at events.
- Lead the delegation of tasks to team members for a student led approach.
- Assist director of spirit programs with uniform inventory, scheduling, and auditions. This position will work closely with the following units:
- Athletic Communications
- Creative Services
- Director of Spirit Programs
Essential Functions:

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Collegiate cheerleading experience preferred
- Experience coaching tumbling and co-ed stunting
- Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proven experience in choreography, game-day performance, and stunt instruction.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of NCAA compliance and safety regulations relevant to spirit programs.
- Must have a strong work ethic, passion for working in a “team” environment, and a desire to learn
