Creighton University in Omaha, NE is hiring for a Client Engagement Specialist in the College of Professional and Continuing Education (CPCE).   

 

Plays an integral role in developing and supporting the Continuing Education and Professional Development offerings that help lifelong learners keep up to date with emerging trends and advancements in their fields. Responsible for assisting with securing of revenue generating participation in course offerings and programs. This role will assist in the cultivation of relationships in support of course and program offerings. Will also work on external funding opportunities such as grants and sponsorships.

 

This is a newly created, on-site position that will require some non-traditional hours and travel (25% or less). 

 

Responsibilities: 

Sales/Recruitment:

  • Collaborate with external organization's leadership to grow the University’s professional and workforce development offerings. 
  • Provide data to support the development of new programs and initiatives to enroll, support, and engage a variety of qualified students / learners.
  • Implement a targeted program-specific recruitment strategies that resonate with the priorities of the targeted audience.
  • Develop and cultivate new and existing corporate and business partnerships. Engage to identify in-demand programming aligned with the employer’s needs, and promote CPCE programs.
  • Coordinate strategies to request and secure funding to support industry training, such as grants and sponsorships.

Networking, Collaboration, and Relationship Management:

  • Networking, building professional relationships, and securing partner agreements with industry, corporations, businesses, and members of the community, including Creighton University alumni.
  • Works with internal Colleges and Schools in support of fostering the external partnerships, and expectation of collaboration to develop and implement programming with faculty and staff across the college and university.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with clients, community workforce development organizations, University faculty and staff, and alumni.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2+ years of relevant experience (developing client relationships & partnerships, professional development, networking, recruiting)
  • Experience with higher education, business relationships and community engagement preferred
