Qualifications:

Knowledge
- Theologically prepared to engage with Christians of various traditions and to foster ecumenical relationships.
- Able to articulate how Protestant chaplaincy works in harmony and support for the mission of this Catholic, Jesuit university.
- Knowledge of non-Christian traditions and how to foster interreligious relations.
- Understanding of Catholic theological perspectives and their expression in ministry.
- Appreciation for the tradition of Jesuit education, and Ignatian spirituality.
Skills
- Pastoral care and spiritual accompaniment, including for crisis response.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to use diverse tools for communication and planning, including Microsoft Office, Microsoft OneDrive, Google Drive, social media, and the ability to adapt to new technologies.
- Adept at event planning and management.
- Relate to and serve as a mentor for college students in their spiritual formation.
- Serve as a pastoral minister for people from diverse backgrounds and faith traditions.
- Recruit, train, and supervise student staff and volunteers.
- Plan bible study, prayer services, small group discussions.
- Facilitate small groups and guide others in small group facilitation.
- Work both independently and in collaboration with others.
- Demonstrate intercultural competencies.
Education & Experience
Master's Degree of Divinity, Theology, Pastoral Ministry or related field, required.
Qualified to conduct Protestant services.
At least 2 years of ministerial experience (paid or volunteer), required.
Knowledge and demonstrated experience within their tradition of ability to advance ecumenical engagement.
Experience with young adult spiritual formation.
