Creighton University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution, invites applications for a 12 month, full-time, faculty position as a Simulation/Lab Coordinator on the College of Nursing’s Omaha campus.

The Simulation/Lab Coordinator is responsible for maintaining the day-to-day lab operations and simulation experiences. This individual partners with College of Nursing administrators, the simulation/lab director, faculty, and staff to implement evidence-based innovative simulation programs that support clinical decision-making and skill acquisition consistent in the CON (College of Nursing). The Coordinator also assumes direct teaching responsibilities during simulated learning experiences across the nursing curricula. Other faculty responsibilities include those associated with service and scholarship according to rank.

Qualifications:
A Master’s degree in Nursing Required;
2 years of clinical nursing experience in acute care setting;
Experience in classroom and simulation instruction and clinical supervision;
A current unencumbered license as an RN in the state of Nebraska, or eligibility for license as required per state bound regulations for teaching across geographic boundaries;
National certification and license as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in an appropriate nurse practitioner field is required, if applicable

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Prior teaching experience at the undergraduate level is preferred;
Technology knowledge and skills (high fidelity simulation experience is preferred);
Excellent written/verbal communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills;
Strong collaborative/teamwork ability to motivate, and inspire staff at all levels of the organization;
Ability to foster student and staff learning, development, and decision making in support of goals, success, wellness, and needs;
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop rapport quickly and effectively with a diversity of populations;
Empathy and compassion for the experiences of others;
Mission/Service and Results oriented;
Ability to work at times non-traditional business hours when needed (i.e. weekends, evening, and/or holiday)

Required licenses and/or certifications:
