Qualifications:

Doctorate in nursing or closely related field from an accredited institution and national certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner;
3 years of experience as a neonatal nurse practitioner in a Level III or higher Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU);
A current unencumbered RN licensure and APRN in the state of Nebraska, or eligibility for licensure;
Prior teaching experience at the graduate level is preferred


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Prior teaching experience at the graduate level is preferred;
Excellent written/verbal communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills;
Strong collaborative/teamwork ability to motivate, and inspire staff at all levels of the organization;
Ability to foster student and staff learning, development, and decision making in support of goals, success, wellness, and needs;
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop rapport quickly and effectively with a diversity of populations;
Empathy and compassion for the experiences of others;
Mission/Service and Results oriented;
Ability to provide evidence of excellent university-level teaching and/or significant publications;
Ability to work at times non-traditional business hours when needed (i.e. weekends, evening, and/or holiday)


Required licenses and/or certifications:
A current unencumbered RN licensure and APRN in the state of Nebraska, or eligibility for licensure.
