The Department of Mathematics  within the College of Arts and Sciences at Creighton University is hiring for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor to teach both foundational mathematics and statistics courses and advanced courses in their sub-discipline while developing an active, independent research program involving undergraduates in the Department of Mathematics at Creighton University. 

 

This position is a tenure-track assistant professor appointment beginning in August 2024. A Ph.D. in Mathematics or Statistics (or a closely related field) is required. The ideal person for this role is committed to being an outstanding teacher-scholar within a primarily undergraduate institution. 

 

Qualifications 

  • A Ph.D. in Mathematics or Statistics (or a closely related field) is required. 
  • Ability to foster student learning, development, and decision making in support of their goals, success, wellness, and needs. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop rapport quickly and effectively with a diversity of populations. 
  • Empathy and compassion for the experiences of others.
