Fine & Performing Arts seeks to fill a tenure-track entry level position with primary teaching responsibilities in Acting, Voice, and/or Movement beginning August 2019. 3-3 teaching load. Candidate is required to have a strong background in directing classical, contemporary, and musical theatre. Position requires the candidate to direct a minimum of one production per semester. Position begins in August 2019. MFA in Acting diploma required no later than July 1, 2019, with evidence of university-level teaching or professional equivalent and significant directing résumé.  All faculty teach introductory-level courses.  Candidates are strongly urged to familiarize themselves with our programs, department, university and mission at

A Doctorate or Master's degree from an accredited college or university;

2-4 years prior teaching experience;

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop rapport quickly and effectively with a diversity of populations;

Empathy and compassion for the experiences of others;

Ability to provide evidence of excellent university-level teaching and/or significant publications
