Qualifications:
A Ph.D., M.D., or M.D./Ph.D. degree;
2-4 years participating in graduate and professional student teaching;
Postdoctoral training with significant research accomplishment
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Experience in utilizing various translational approaches to auditory diseases, including drug development, pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics in the inner ear, genomic predisposition to sensory loss, animal models, as well as translational and clinical applications, including research audiology;
Excellent written/verbal communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills;
Strong collaborative/teamwork ability to motivate, and inspire staff at all levels of the organization;
Ability to provide evidence of excellent university-level teaching and/or significant publications;
Ability to foster student and staff learning, development, and decision making in support of goals, success, wellness, and needs;
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop rapport quickly and effectively with a diversity of populations;
Empathy and compassion for the experiences of others;
Mission/Service and Results oriented;
Ability to work at times non-traditional business hours when needed (i.e. weekends, evening, and/or holiday)
