The College of Nursing (CON) is seeking a 12 month, full-time, faculty member with health policy expertise and systems leadership to fill a position in the College of Nursing’s DPN and BSN programs. This position is for the College’s Omaha campus. The candidate must have experience in in health policy.

The College of Nursing serves over 500 students in its BSN programs and over 400 students in its graduate nursing programs. The university is composed of nine (9) colleges and schools including Arts and Sciences, Business Administration, Professional Studies, Law, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy and Health Professions, Dentistry, and a Graduate School. The CON offers programs at the baccalaureate (BSN), masters (MSN), doctoral (DNP) levels, and APRN certificate levels. Creighton University CON offers program on its Omaha, Hastings, and Phoenix campus locations. The baccalaureate degree in nursing, master's degree in nursing, Doctor of Nursing Practice and APRN certificate programs at CU are accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education ( Creighton University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.

Faculty responsibilities include both classroom and on-line instruction in both the undergraduate and graduate programs. Other faculty responsibilities include those associated with service and scholarship commensurate with the College of Nursing and university expectations. Candidates must possess an earned doctorate in nursing or a related field. Ideally, the candidate will have experience in classroom and on-line instruction. The candidate must have a current unencumbered licensure as an RN in the state of Nebraska, or eligibility for licensure.  Applications accepted until filled.

An earned doctorate in nursing or related field;
Health policy experience;
A current unencumbered RN licensure in the state of Nebraska, or eligibility for licensure

Prior teaching experience at the graduate level is preferred;

Ability to provide evidence of excellent university-level teaching and/or significant publications;
Ability to work at times non-traditional business hours when needed (i.e. weekends, evening, and/or holiday)

Required licenses and/or certifications:
A current unencumbered RN licensure in the state of Nebraska, or eligibility for licensure;
