Advises seven sorority chapters, the Panhellenic Council, two Culturally Based Fraternal Organizations, planned expansion and connection to the city-wide charters, Dance Marathon which has raised over $150,000 in three years, and Order of Omega. This position is responsible for the education, oversight, and assessment of the Greek Measure, the Fraternity and Sorority Life accreditation process. Provides educational resources and training for 64 sorority officers and for the 1200 sorority women in the fraternity and sorority life (FSL) community (52% of undergraduate women). This position oversees sorority recruitment (1200 women) and events (including night time events and meetings) and conducts evaluation of programs. Oversees FSL administration to include budget management, membership and databases. Coordinates the Emerging Leaders suite of programs for undergraduate students, the Leadership Exchange, and the Ignatian Student Leadership Training (a two-year leadership development effort). This position supervises a small student leadership intern team members. The position develops ongoing leadership development programs and retreats for campus.
Qualifications:
Masters' degree required (Higher Education, Student Affairs Administration, Counseling or related field.
One to two years of experience in student affairs required
Demonstrated experience advising NPC, NIC, NALFO, NPHC organizations and experience/affiliation with AFA preferred.
An understanding of the value of holistic student development and of the motivations of students who participate in co-curricular learning experiences is required.
An understanding of and the ability to apply student development and learning outcomes theories is required.
The ability to sustain communication with diverse groups, anticipate problems, reconcile conflicts, and maintain a strong philosophical base for student activities.
Excellent verbal and written skills required.
Experience in student programming, advising student groups and/or leadership development is required.
Demonstrated focus on student education and service to students.
An appreciation of the Ignatian tradition required.
Night and weekend commitments are required.
