Creighton University, a Catholic and Jesuit institution, is actively seeking applications for the position of faculty member and member of the clinical education team in our top ranked Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program in Omaha, Nebraska. You will join visionary national and international leaders in the profession committed to innovation and excellence in education, pursuing research to advance the health of society and practice, and serving the community within the Jesuit tradition. The DPT program supports five accredited (sixth in development) clinical residencies, a clinical practice, and diverse research agendas in multiple areas of scholarship, including a successful platform of education research. We are searching for an ideal applicant who shares our passion for advancing the program’s mission, improve the human experience and promote physical and mental well-being, by providing exemplary education, contributing to research, and serving those in need. Creighton seeks a quality educator who is excited about clinical education, willing to collaborate and demonstrate effective teamwork, and embraces the Jesuit values.
Responsibilities:
· Serve as a clinical education advisor for a portion of each cohort of students as part of the clinical education team including 4 Professional Practice courses in clinical education
· Serve as instructor of record for Professional Formation course(s)
· Communicate effectively with the clinical education team both in Omaha and Phoenix to ensure optimal learning experiences in the clinical setting for students.
· Teach in the DPT curriculum in areas of department need that align with experience/expertise
· Perform core faculty responsibilities to include teaching, scholarly activities, and service
· Eligible for licensure as a physical therapist in Nebraska
· Served as a clinical instructor &/or SCCE for a minimum of 3 years
· Academic rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience
· Preferred specialty certification
· Preferred successful completion of credentialed clinical instructor program Level 1 course
