Summary:

The School of Pharmacy & Health Professions and the School of Dentistry are offering a unique opportunity for a shared Academic Success Coordinator position to serve students and faculty in the Occupational Therapy, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy and Dentistry programs at Creighton University. This position will work closely with students to provide individual academic success consultation and coaching regarding strategies for positive educational outcomes for students. In addition, the Academic Success Coordinator will implement success programs, administer and interpret learning style and study strategy inventories and other developmental student assessments, coordinate grade-related issues, identify students requiring academic support, collaborate with faculty, coordinate student temporary leave management and assist with other student focused/Student Affairs activities.  The Academic Success Coordinator will participate in teaching activities focused on academic success, well-being and mindfulness, and will be a contributive member to school and university committees.


Qualifications:
Masters Degree required
2-4 years related experience

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Interpersonal, written and small/large group presentation skills.
Counseling/advising skills.
Ability to direct small group critical thinking sessions.
Experience in providing college level students learning assistance support in achieving academic success through individual assessments, 1:1 counseling sessions, teaching and implementing tutoring and other educational programs.
Ability to relate well to highly motivated college students;
Ability to maintain confidentiality
